Wisconsin quarterback Graham Mertz and star running back Braelon Allen signed NIL deals with Pepsi.
Mertz made his announcement on Twitter, while Allen shared his thoughts on Instagram.
“What’s up @BadgerFootball fans?” they both wrote on social media. “I teamed up with @Pepsi because Wisconsin Football is better with Pepsi. Find exclusive Badger graphics on Pepsi packages at all your favorite stores now. See you on Saturdays! #OnWisconsin #PepsiPartner”
Last season, Mertz completed only 59 percent of his passes for 1,958 yards with 10 touchdowns and 11 interceptions for the Badgers, who finished with a 9-4 record. Wisconsin defeated Arizona State in the Las Vegas Bowl.
Allen, who recently inked an NIL deal with Barstool Sports, where he’s able to sell merchandise, including t-shirts, hooded sweatshirts, and crewnecks, piled up over 1,200 yards on 186 carries as a true freshman. He also scored 12 touchdowns, which included having multiple touchdowns in three games. Allen scored three touchdowns against Nebraska and Northwestern, and two touchdowns vs. Purdue.
The Badgers are the No. 18 team in the preseason AP Top 25 poll, and they will open the 2022 college football season at home against Illinois State on Saturday, Sept. 3.
