Stanford’s rising sophomore and NCAA indoor track champion, Roisin Willis, has recently inked an NIL deal with New Balance, a renowned sports brand.
Willis took to Instagram on Monday to announce the partnership and expressed her gratitude for the opportunity, stating that she is “grateful for this opportunity and to be a part of the NB family.”

Willis’s achievements on the track are nothing short of remarkable.
At the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships held in Albuquerque in March, she triumphed in the women’s 800 meters, setting both a facility record and a meet record with a remarkable time of 1:59.93. Impressively, she outpaced her Stanford teammate Juliette Whittaker by a mere 0.12 seconds. In addition to her individual victory, Willis played a pivotal role in Stanford’s triumph in the women’s distance medley relay, helping the team secure victory with a time of 10:56.34, triumphing over Arkansas by a slim margin of 0.27 seconds.
In addition to Willis, current NCAA athletes Katelyn Tuohy and Parker Valby have also secured NIL agreements with prominent shoe companies, forming a group of notable athletes benefiting from such partnerships.

Charles Hicks, another talented athlete from Stanford, inked an NIL deal with Nike in March and subsequently joined the Nike-sponsored Bowerman Track Club after the conclusion of the outdoor collegiate track season.
Stanford’s athletic department enjoys sponsorship from Nike, which adds a distinct aspect to Willis’ agreement.
Willis has been slated to compete in the 800m race at this week’s upcoming USATF Outdoor Championships.
