The Oklahoma State University softball team has announced a name, image and likeness sponsorship with Seth Wadley Ford Lincoln in Perry, OK that will benefit every player on the team.

While the full benefits of the deal have not been released, it is known that the dealership will serve as the primary sponsor for the program and have already been a main supporter of the team’s annual golf tournament last week.

The Seth Wadley auto group has seven locations across Oklahoma, offering new and used vehicles from Ford, Dodge, Jeep, Chevrolet, Buick, Chrysler, GMC and RAM. Their website now features a tab on the home page where one can apply for a sponsorship, opening the door to more NIL deals in the future.

“What makes this partnership with the Seth Wadley dealerships in Perry so special is the fact that our entire team gets to be part of it, even those from last year’s team who have exhausted their eligibility. It’s a great boost to these women, and to the sport of softball, to see our student-athletes recognized for the heartfelt impact they have on their fans and our community,” said Oklahoma State softball head coach Kenny Gajewski

In the last three seasons, the Cowgirls have made the Women’s College World Series and have also hosted Regional and Super Regional games in their home stadium. In those two games, seating had to be added to make up the amount of tickets sold. It is no secret that softball’s popularity is growing, hence why Seth Wadley wanted to be on the forefront of a major movement in the sporting world.

Expect to see Seth Wadley signage at Cowgirl Stadium in Stillwater this coming season and plenty of soon-to-be well known student-athletes in advertisements for the dealership. Team-wide deals have become more and more common heading into the 2022-2023 school year, these sponsorships and general recognition are long overdue for women in college.
