Clemson men’s basketball player Brevin Galloway did not have a very good weekend.
After a workout session, Galloway suffered an injury to his testicles that he described as “the worst pain I’ve ever experienced.”
From Instagram, it sounds like Brevin Galloway will miss at least the next two games for Clemson, for uhhh, a medical reason. I’ll let him explain.

Galloway went in for surgery later that day and the problem was corrected. While seemingly under the influence of anesthesia, Galloway posted a video to Instagram.

“I don’t know what happened to my balls,” said Galloway. “But we made it. Now, I’m going to be spoiled for the next 48 hours and I will be back in a uniform shortly.”
Not even 24 hours later, Galloway and his team, Raymond Representation, released two different t-shirt and hoodie designs making light of the incident. The first design features a picture of Galloway with his name in orange and white lettering. Instead of a Clemson jersey, Galloway is wearing a jersey that says “BALLSY” across the front.

The second design features Galloway’s face and the phrase “The NUTTY Professor.” The shirts can be had for $30 while the hoodies are priced at $40.
Galloway’s injury and video were the talk of the college basketball world for a solid 24 hours, so designing merchandise to commemorate the incident was probably a shrewd business move.

Releasing merch referencing the strange injury is just the latest example of student-athletes being creative with NIL.
Clemson fans surely hope Galloway can return to form sooner than later. The sixth-year guard is averaging 10.6 points per game for the surprisingly-electric Tigers.
