Another day, another LSU football player signs an NIL deal.

On Monday, running back John Emery Jr. became the latest Tiger to ink a deal with Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys, joining teammates Emery Jones and Harold Perkins.

This past weekend, five LSU players, including Emery Jr., helped serve customers at the Baton Rouge Raising Cane’s restaurant as part of their NIL agreement.

“We are excited to welcome Tigers’ running back John Emery to #TheGTeam,” the announcement said. “Emery’s return to the Tigers will mark his best season yet – both on and off the field.”

During the 2020 season, Emery ran for 378 yards with three touchdowns on 75 carries. He missed all of last season, and he is expected to miss LSU’s first two contests this year because of an academic suspension. However, first-year head coach Brian Kelly said that he hopes the suspension will be reversed before the team’s game against Florida State.

“I’ve spoken on this before, and John’s done everything that would allow him to be in good standing in the football program,” Kelly recently said. “But you know, I have things that are out of my control, as it relates to who I can play. That’s not something that I can comment on.”

McKernan Injury Attorneys is slowly becoming one of the biggest NIL deal makers in the nation. And it doesn’t look like they are going to slow down any time soon.
