LSU commit Shelton Sampson Jr.’s NIL experience is only getting started.

Earlier this month, Sampson inked an NIL deal with MatchPoint Connection. He also signed his first deal with Elete Sports, and announced Wednesday that he is partnering with Smalls Sliders, which is a Louisiana-based cheeseburger slider franchise.

Smalls Sliders has locations in Baton Rouge and Shreveport, which means Sampson can be an ambassador for the company because of his decision to play college football for the Tigers. The company is expected to expand the franchise throughout the entire state of Louisiana.

MatchPoint Connection, which is Sampson’s exclusive marketplace, helped broker the deal. He will be the official high school ambassador for the Baton Rouge-based NIL company. They also brokered his first deal with Elete Sports.

“It’s a great fit to name Shelton as the beginning face of what we’re working towards in that space, and then to be able to continue to evolve from there,” MatchPoint Connection CFO Zack Oliver told On3.com. “The main goal is showing that he’s a responsible enough individual to go out there and become a partner of a business as a high schooler.”

Sampson, who is from Baton Rouge, La., is the 18th LSU commitment in the class of 2023.
