Shelton Sampson Jr. recently committed to LSU on Saturday.

Just a few days later, the five-star wide receiver already inked his very first NIL deal.

Sampson announced on his Twitter that he is partnering with Elete Sports, where he will release his own branded clothing line. He already has t-shirts that say “Why Not? SS6” for sale. The SS obviously stands for his name, Shelton Sampson, and the No. 6 is his current jersey number.

“I’ve been thinking about how I could make SS6 a reality for a while,” Sampson said in the press release. “To see it all come together the same day I made one of the biggest decisions of my life was crazy.”

The partnership between Sampson and Elete Sports was brokered on MatchPoint Connection, which uses an algorithm to quickly “match” talent on the field with brands. Elete Sports partners with athletes and helps them promote and develop personalized brand merchandise.

Sampson, who is from Baton Rouge, La., is the 18th LSU commitment in the class of 2023.

After an April vote by the Louisiana High School Athletic Association, high school athletes in the state are now allowed to profit off their name, image and likeness. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound wideout, also had interest from Florida State and Texas A&M.
