“Bayou Barbie” Angel Reese, the star of the national championship-winning LSU women’s basketball team, continues to add major brands to her NIL portfolio with a new Airbnb deal.
Like many college students, Reese is seemingly home for the summer in her native Baltimore. However, unlike most college students, the basketball star spent her time away from campus throwing out the first pitch at a Baltimore Orioles game and treating her friends to a weekend getaway in a lavish-looking home provided by one of her NIL sponsors.

“Airbnb set me and my friends up REAL GOOD for a weekend in the DMV. Thank you!” Reese wrote in a “paid partnership” Instagram post.
In addition to being one of the best players in college basketball, she is also the highest-earning NIL athlete in her sport, taking home over $1.6 million. Reese has deals with several major brands outside of Airbnb. Her NIL portfolio includes endorsing companies such as Amazon, Playstation, JanSport, Bose, Sonic, Coach, and McDonald’s.
The 6-foot-3 forward transferred from Maryland to LSU ahead of last year’s championship campaign, and joining the LSU NIL program did wonders for her brand.

Reese isn’t the only Tigers star making a ton of money in 2023. Gymnast Livvy Dunne is the highest-earning female athlete in college sports, and Reese’s teammate, Flau’jae Johnson, is the second-highest NIL earner in Women’s college basketball.
Next season, another NIL star, former Louisville guard Hailey Van Lith, is transferring into the program.
