In an article written by Bleacher Report back in March, Adidas announced that it would launch an equitable NIL network that was designed to help student-athletes in college to become paid brand ambassadors for the company. In the story, Adidas claimed that the NIL network would initially be available to HBCUs in the fall.
Because of his initial window, Calvez and several other Grambling student-athletes are set to enter Adidas’ NIL network. Also included are: Demarcus Smiley and Jose Vargas (baseball), James Brown (track & field), Haley Gomez (volleyball) Malik Lamin (men’s basketball) Jurnee Mclaurin (women’s basketball).
