On the eve of the 2023 NFL Draft, the projected No. 1 pick, Bryce Young, has secured yet another NIL deal.
On Tuesday, it was announced that Young and BodyArmor agreed to a deal. Young posted a video on Twitter promoting the emerging and popular sports drink company.
“The time is now,” Young wrote on Twitter. “Proud to be a part of the @DrinkBODYARMOR team The grind never stops #TeamBODYARMOR.”
BodyArmor was founded by Mike Repole in 2011 and the company took off when legendary NBA player Kobe Bryant became a key investor. Bryant’s $6 million investment is reportedly now worth approximately $200 million.
Young has been making a killing off his name, image and likeness in the last year. Prior to this deal, Young had at least accrued $3.5 million in earnings.
He will certainly get a lot richer once he hears his name called on Thursday, with all signs pointing to him going No. 1 overall to the Carolina Panthers.
In just three years, Young accomplished so much in such little time. He guided the Crimson Tide to a title in 2020 and was the 2021 Heisman Trophy winner. In his time at Alabama, he threw for 8,356 yards and 80 touchdowns, while connecting on 65.8 percent of his passes.
In his time with Alabama, Young and the Crimson Tide had a 37-4 record.
