Creating and operating an NIL collective just got a whole lot easier as Blueprint Sports (BPS), a leading NIL marketplace management company backed by eight-time Grand Slam tennis champion Andre Agassi, announced an exclusive partnership with NIL software provider Basepath.

Since 2020, Agassi’s BPS has helped connect student-athletes with opportunities to make money on their name, image and likeness rights by connecting them with collectives made up of alumni, supporters and businesses.

Basepath is an NIL management software that allows collectives, athletic departments, and student-athletes to easily interface on a single dashboard.

Together with BPS, this new deal is creating a powerhouse “partnership [that] will support and operate more than 50 collectives and NIL Foundations across the country,” according to Basepath co-founder and CEO Thomas Thomas Jr.

Blueprint Sports CFO Shawn Cable says, “One of our hallmarks is to exceed all NCAA, state, and university compliance standards while organizing all the NIL activities for the student-athletes we serve at each collective. This move accomplishes both of those for us.”

NIL management and compliance will continue to grow and change in the coming years, and being able to smoothly create and manage NIL collectives — as well as the relationship between collectives, student-athletes, and schools — will only grow in importance.

This BPS-Basepath partnership puts these two companies at the forefront of this ever-changing landscape. It also makes both companies’ names to know and watch in the NIL industry moving forward, and not just because of the all-time great tennis player behind it.
